Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Lean Ground Beef 85/15
  • 3 cups Green Cabbage thinly sliced (or Coleslaw mix)
  • 1 medium Carrot julienned
  • ½ medium Onion finely diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • ¼ cup Low-sodium Soy Sauce
  • 2 tsp Sesame Oil
  • 1 tsp Ground Ginger
  • ½ tsp Granulated Sugar
  • Salt & Pepper to taste
  • Garnish: Green onions Sesame seeds

Equipment

  • Large Skillet or Wok
  • Spatula
  • Chef's Knife & Cutting Board
  • Grater

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook ground beef until browned (5 mins). Season with salt/pepper.
  2. Add diced onion and carrot. Cook 5-7 mins until soft.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
  4. Add cabbage, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sugar. Stir well.
  5. Sauté 5-7 mins until cabbage is tender-crisp.
  6. Remove from heat. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Texture is crunchy veggies with tender beef. Flavor is savory soy with nutty sesame. Use a coleslaw mix to save prep time. Best served warm with Sriracha sauce.
